Tre Fichi al Tramonto (Three Figs at Dusk)

There’s something impossibly Italian about figs.
The way they sit quietly in the fading light… rich, ripened, almost secretive.

I painted these the way certain evenings in Italy feel — soft conversations drifting through an open window, a half-finished glass of wine, church bells somewhere in the distance.

The colors here reminded me of velvet dusk in Florence — plum, lavender, deep shadow, and that last touch of gold before night arrives.
