“Emma, the bearded dragon” (Print)
Oil on canvas 8 x 8
2026
It’s me. Emma. 🦎
Breaking news from the terracotta penthouse: I have been immortalized. In oil. On canvas. As I deserve!
My small human — commissioned this portrait, (apparently he has connections in the art world…(the nice lady next door).
Finally, someone in this household understands that I am not a pet. I am a muse!
I have been waiting for my Fellini moment, like in “La dolce Vita” at the Trevi fountain, since the day I hatched, and today, amore, the canvas has found me.
I emerged from my little cave the way I emerge from everything — slowly, dramatically, and with one eye on the snacks. A dragonfly arrived to pay respects. A leaf attended.
I did not smile, because I am mysterious, but you can tell I’m pleased.
Look at the cheekbones. Look at the toes. Very La Dolce Vita. Very me.
To my small human: bravissimo! You have the eye of a Medici.
To the artist: flawless! The toes especially. 💅
To the public: prints? maybe. Autographs? I can’t hold a pen. Figure it out.
